Todarodes Pacificus does not fly forward like a flying fish, but backwards. When they emerge from the water, they leap back, with their eyes and tentacles behind. The two large fins on their tails are fully extended, like a pair of wings, providing buoyancy ascent and balancing in the air. Their heads will not be idle, and the long arms and feet on the top of their heads are constantly shrinking to provide the driving force for the flight, and to grasp the direction of progress at any time. After watching the video of the squid flying, some researchers believe that their flight principle is as advanced as a jet aircraft.

Why does Todarodes Pacificus fly out of water? This is the same reason as most fish jumps, mainly to avoid disaster. When they find that they are being chased by predators and cannot escape, they use the housekeeping skills of flying to fly high in the air, and the predators have to "look at the squid and sigh". They are also very sensitive and often misunderstand the enemy. When a ship appears on the surface of the eddy, they also think that some kind of predator is lurking under the water and instinctively jump out of the sea. In this way, people on the boat can enjoy the beautiful gesture of their flight.
Unfortunately, the Todarodes Pacificus escaped into the air and faced a new threat. In the air there are birds called red-footed boobies, which like to hunt squid. Squid flying into the air gives red-footed boobies an easy taste of seafood. After all, when it comes to flying, squid is no match for flying birds. This really is: "Just out of the wolf's den, and into the tiger's mouth." Todarodes Pacificus manufacturers tell you that the tragedy of weak animals is not that they lack better escape skills, but that there are too many predators in nature.
