Maersk Peru Peru region manager Diego Blotte said that the market has the greatest demand for Peruvian giant squid, and its prospects are very optimistic, mainly reflected in Asian markets such as China, South Korea and Thailand.

According to a study by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), China’s seafood imports have tripled in the past six years.

In addition, the manager of Maersk Peru mentioned that after the Asian destinations, the Peruvian squid shipment list also includes European destinations such as Spain. These countries have also increased their orders this year.
